499 Royalty-Free Audio Tracks for "Road Sounds"

The sound of rain and slow and rumbling thunder. This was recorded out of my window using an se electronics 1000a condenser microphone though an onyx blackjack usb audio interface into m macbook pro running logic pro x.

I stopped and recorded los angeles canyon traffic on my way to work. Nice selection of engines, cars, etc. Was on a hill, so engines pull harder going one way than the other. Recorded with: sound devices 702t, beyer dynamic mc930 mics.

This is a field recording from my friend walker's yard in las cruces, nm that i made on a band tour in may 2006. There is a horse running by on the road at one point and some dogs in the background, but the morning doves stand out the most and sound really beautiful at points. Audiotechnica at22 > marantz pmd660 > edited in wavelab.

I use dreamtalk recorder for recording funny things i say in sleep, but sometimes it will pick up other sounds, it picked this horn up outside my window. Reason i added yellow as a tag is because i have synesthesia and a horn is the colour yellow.

Rainy day on a busy city street in northridge, ca. Recorded with a roland r-05 during morning rush hour on a busy intersection (balboa blvd & parthenia street). There is the rushing sound of cars driving past on the wet road, all kinds of vehicles. I think it turned out pretty good. :).

A soundwalk around my house with my brother. I start the walk in my house, and then i go to my front yard to investigate my dog's barking. I then walk on the fake grass in my lawn and narrate the sounds i hear from the road. Finally, my brother and i go through my side gate, where my brother and i walk on rocks. I describe every sound i hear from all directions.

This is my first time ever recording ambiance, i used the tascam dr-40, please leave any notes and suggestions on how i can better make these ambient recordings. A walk through ridley road market in dalston, east london. Lots of people chatting and music playing. As with many markets in london there are lots of languages being spoken. You can hear traders calling out what they're selling. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics. Low cut on the sd which in basic mode is 80hz (i think). There is some processing to this recording to ‘normalize’ the levels and light eq-ing. I do not require any credit or attribution. This sound effect was captured by me on video on my canon digital powershot a460 camera, i stood just above the motorway at charing cross glasgow scotland and captured this sound from the jam packed motorway, both sides were busy, i even caught the sound of a police car coming along the hard shoulder. Recorded in a backyard in kibbutz mefalsim, israel. 27/03/2020 friday afternoon 15:57 you can hear birds, the sound of leaves, wind and car on the road (the apartment is close to the main gate) you can also hear trucks leaving and entering the kibbutz's factory and tractors rushing towards the end of the day.

I went to a spot where traffic will slow down, stop and take off and drive at 60kms during peak. This sound was made by me, i tied down my canon powershot a460 digital camera inside the engine bay of my 1993 rover 620si, and it's got a petrol honda engine, no turbo on this version. I had my video recording on my camera in the engine bay while i was driving. I started the engine up and took it for a drive. I simply took the sound off the video. I videoed this sound of a subway train in glasgow scotland on the famous "clockwork orange" train as they are called. I used my canon powershot a460 digital camera to video this, i simply took the sound from the video. I was lucky enough to get a good run on this with just a few poeple on board, so there wasn't any other sound apart from the train, the only time you here some movement of feet is when the doors open. I got into a small crawl space under a concrete road, which seemed to be an old sewage tunnel, and recorded the sound of a car driving overtop of me. It's a gentle rise and fall of a car engine. You can hear me let out my breath as the car drives away.

A mid morning field recording on 05 march 2021 in our rural garden. There is a road at the side of the garden but i have removed what i could hear of the few cars that passed by. Also removed sounds of a gate and doors opening and closing. There was a slight breeze that a wind sock didn't entirely prevent coming through as wind noise. I have cut most of this.

1:40 field recording of exterior daytime environmental insects in the grass, with some day birds in the distance. Hint of an aircraft later at very far perspective. Edited to remove intrusions, and not recorded with a balanced stereo pair of mics.

A mid-sized waterfall flowing into a gentle stream. This is near the road by the grand prismatic spring in yellowstone. The timbre of this smaller fall is higher than the roar of the large waterfall. And you can just make out the gurgling of the stream. But, in general, this kind of thing sounds a bit like static. Sorry it's so short, there was a lot of wind and people talking.
